Cambridge Climate Message

The Cambridge Climate Message came from the people and organisations of Cambridge (UK) to all those participating in the global climate change negotiations in Paris between 30th November and 11th December 2015 (COP21). As well as being published online it was sent to Sir David King, the UK special envoy for climate change. This message brought together voices from across the city to provide a strong unified message for national and international leaders, calling on them to come to an ambitious and fair international agreement.

Message being signed by Daniel Zeichner MP (l) and Cllr Lewis Herbert (r)

This message was drafted by James Smith, one of the founding members of Carbon Neutral Cambridge (CNC), but predates the founding of our organisation.  It is being hosted here since it was an important precursor to CNC’s work focused on action in the greater Cambridge region.

The letter is now closed for signing, but you can view it and the list of signatories on the Cambridge Climate Message Letter (pdf).
